Inspite of service none appears for the respondents. Ms. Das who usually appears for the respondents is present in Court and is requested to take up the matter on behalf of the respondents. Let her appointment be regularised. The petitioners are the recorded joint tenants of land bearing survey No. 27 (former survey No. 36), measuring an area 0.0340 hectares of land situated at Naya Sahar village, Ferrargunj Tehsil, South Andaman District.

Petitioners had made an application for demarcation on December 18, 2025 with the concerned Tehsildar. The petitioners are aggrieved that the said application has not yet been disposed of, nor dealt with in any manner. In view of the aforestated, the Tehsildar is directed to dispose of the application by August 31, 2026 following the due process of law.

With the aforestated directions the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Since no affidavits have been called for the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to be denied. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
