[through virtual mode] Mr. Rakesh Kumar Mr. Dibesh Dwivedi ... for the respondents July 09, 2025 [SR] Item No. 8 It is the grievance of the petitioner, who claims to be the Chief Promoter of the D&K City Housing Cooperative Society Limited, that he has made a representation before the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), Port Blair on August 14, 2024 with a request for formation of a housing society namely "D & K City Housing Cooperative Society Private Limited" under the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Cooperative Societies Rules, 1974.

The petitioner submits that, despite such representation being made, no steps have been taken by the concerned Registrar.

I am of the view that the Registrar should consider the prayer of the petitioner and dispose of the same, in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of giving direction upon the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to decide

the representation of the petitioner appearing at page 19 of the writ petition dated August 14, 2024 in accordance with law after hearing all the concerned and by passing a reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from date. A reasoned order will communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. Since no affidavit has been filed by the Administration, the allegations made in this writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied by them.
