Kumar ... for the respondents [on behalf of Mr.V.D.Sivabalan] July 09, 2025 [Manoj] Item No. 10 The petitioner claims to be the owner of land bearing Survey No. 670, measuring 200 sq. mtrs., situated at Sippighat Village under Port Blair Tehsil.

The petitioner's grievance is that a representation was made on May 19, 2022, before the Tehsildar, Port Blair, seeking issuance of a sketch map of the said plot. However, no steps have been taken by the Tehsildar in this regard. Learned advocate appearing for the Administration submits that the petitioner's prayer shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, there is no justification for keeping the writ petition pending. Accordingly, the Tehsildar, Port Blair, is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated May 19, 2022 (appearing at page 17 of the writ petition), and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Since no affidavit has been filed by the Administration, the allegations made in the writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied.

Accordingly, WPA/317/2025 is disposed of.
