As per a larger Bench judgment of this Court, the learned District Judge, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has jurisdiction to hear all appeals from original decrees/orders.

Accordingly, FMAT/7/2025, along with IA No.

CAN/1/2025, are dismissed as not maintainable on the ground of jurisdiction, granting liberty to the appellant to prefer an appeal against the self-same order and on the grounds taken in the present appeal before the concerned District Court.

The learned Advocate-on-record for the appellant shall be at liberty to withdraw the certified copy of the impugned order upon furnishing a photocopy thereof for the records.

Interim orders, if any stand vacated.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent Photostat certified copies of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
