Arul Peter ... for the petitioner Mr. Shatadru Chakraborty Mr. Dibesh Dwivedi ... for the respondents August 06th, 2024 [AKB] Item No. 2 The instant writ petition is filed by a Daily Rated Sanitary Mazdoor being aggrieved by his termination of service by the respondent Municipal Council.

The petitioner's grievance is that he had to move to the mainland for medical treatment and also underwent surgery. In the meantime he met with a road accident. For reason beyond control he could not intimate the department of his absence. His service was therefore terminated. The writ petitioner in terms of letter dated 16.11.2023 made a representation to the Municipal Authority for reconsideration, but the same is pending.

Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the petitioner was a Daily Rated Mazdoor whose service was terminated because of long absence.

The instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the municipal authorities to consider and dispose of the representation of the writ petitioner within one month. The instant writ petition along within pending application if any stands disposed of.
