The Chief Engineer and others Ms. Anjili Nag ... for the petitioner Mr. Shatadru Chakraborty ... for the respondents March 20, 2023 [SR] Item No.12 The petitioner was a Daily Rated Mazdoor in Andaman Public Works Department (APWD) from 2005. His service was terminated in 2018 without any reason. In the year 2002, the petitioner made one representation to the authorities, which remained unanswered.

I do not find any delay in making this application because one should not expect prompt action from a daily rated mazdoor, who has lost his service. Therefore, there is no delay, in my view, in this matter. Thereafter, he filed one conciliation application on 11th January, 2023, which is still pending. No communication has been made in this respect. I direct the Conciliation Officer to take immediate steps by three weeks from date and to hold conciliation and complete it.

With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA/496/2023 is disposed of.

Learned advocate for the respondents has submitted that the allegations made in the writ application deemed to have been denied as no affidavit has been called for by this Court.
