The grievance of the Writ Petitioner is that the Respondents in spite of making application for providing domestic new electric meter have not issued the same. Although No Objection Certificate is required from the landlord and the same is not available in the record, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose will be served in keeping the application pending. Thus this Writ application is disposed of by directing the Respondent no.3 to consider and decide the application of the Petitioner for providing domestic new electric meter after giving the Petitioner and the Respondent no.5 an opportunity of being

heard. The decision shall be by a reasoned order and shall be communicated to the Writ Petitioner.

It is further made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and all points are left open to be agitated before the Respondent authorities.

The decision making process shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.
