Learned counsel for the Port Blair Municipal Council submitted that the petitioner should submit necessary documents and should clear property tax and should comply with all formalities as required by law.

The instant writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent Municipal Council to provide water supply to petitioner's residential unit subject to the extant rules on payment of fees and taxes as required and doing the needful as required under the rules.

It is accepted that the Municipal Authority shall not make any delay in providing water connection if the petitioner do the needful as stated above.
