By an order dated 24.04.2023 this court directed the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Campbell Bay to appear before this Court in person but due to non availability of the conveyance the Assistant Engineer is not able to appear before this Court but the Executive Engineer is present in person.

The Executive Engineer assures that already a circular has been issued to all sub-division and the site office for grant of electric connection in terms of the Special Bench order if the petitioner fulfill all requirement as per the law and in the present case if a direction may be issued the department will provide electric connection. As per submission made by the Executive Engineer and the counsel for the respondent the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Assistant Engineer, Campbell Bay to provide electricity connection in the house of the petitioner standing on survey No. 108/P situated at Kamal Basti, Campbell Bay within a period of four weeks on receipt of the copy of this order subject to compliance of all formalities.

The personal appearance of Assistance Engineer is dispensed with.

WPA/556/2023 is disposed of.
