Perused the affidavit of compliance as well as the exception used thereto.

Learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner submits that the order under contempt has not been complied with by the alleged contemnors.

On careful perusal of the order under contempt vis-à-vis affidavit of compliance used by the alleged contemnors, this Court is of the view that the order under contempt has been substantially complied with.

In view of the above, the contempt application is disposed of. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Re:CAN/1/2024 Before parting with the order, this Court records that in CAN/1/2024, the applicant/petitioner prayed for stay of the order dated 9th August, 2024 issued by the Tehsildar, Port

Blair. It appears that the said order was issued pursuant to the order dated 21st September, 2023 which has already been complied with by the alleged contemnors pursuant to the direction of this Court.

However, on prayer of the applicant/petitioner, liberty is granted to the applicant/petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law in the event he is aggrieved by the order dated 9th August, 2024.

Accordingly, CAN/1/2024 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
