Vijay Kumar ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents August 6, 2025 [SR] Item No.5 The petitioner acquired title in respect of portion of survey No.245/35 as joint tenant thereof by virtue of a registered deed of sale dated 21st May, 2025. The petitioner applied before the first respondent on 1st October, 2024 for subdividing the landed property.
Notice of hearing being RC/137/GIS/2024/DC(SA)/5517 dated 9th December, 2024 was issued by the first respondent in this regard but the hearing is yet to take place. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the application and subdivision of the land.
Learned counsel for the respondents seeks a month's time to dispose of the application.
In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application filed by the petitioner within one month from date upon service of notice to all concerned, including the petitioner and granting reasonable opportunity of hearing to them, in accordance with law. The writ petition being WPA/378/2025 is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
