He says that he has made a representation to the competent authority, but in vain.

Learned advocate for the respondents says that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of at an early date. I find that a copy of the representation dated June 21, 2024, has been annexed to this writ petition.

I direct the Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council, Port Blair to dispose of the petitioner's aforesaid representation by passing a reasoned order, in accordance with law including the judgments of this Court and the Hon'ble Supreme Court, within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order by the petitioner to the respondent No. 2 herein, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorized representative. I clarify that I have not gone into the merits of the case. It is for the respondent No. 2 to take an informed decision, in accordance with law.

Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegations in the writ petition are deemed not to be admitted by the respondents. WPA/420/2024 is disposed of accordingly.
