[ CIRCUIT BENCH AT PORT BLAIR ] *** CRR/46/2025 Furkhan Ahmed Vs The State Mr. Md.Sharukh ... for the petitioner Mr. S.C.Mishra Mr. Sumit Karmakar ... for the State August 11, 2025 [AKB] Item No.3 The instant revisional application have been filed seeking a direction upon the prosecution to examine all its witnesses on the day today basis and to conclude the trial at an early date, with a direction upon learned Trial Court not to grant unnecessary adjournments.
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the Trial in GR Case No.230 of 2017 is under way. Out of twenty two prosecution witnesses, nine have been examined. Direction should be issued upon the prosecution to examine the remaining witnesses on a day today basis and conclude the trial at an early date.
Learned advocate for the State submits that as per his instructions, ten out of twenty two witnesses have been examined. The case is fixed for recording evidence of the prosecution witnesses on August 25, 2025.
In the aforesaid circumstances the instant revisional application being CRR/46/2025 is disposed of with a request to the learned Trial Court i.e. the Court of learned Judicial
Magistrate First Class-I at Port Blair to dispose of the GR Case No. 230 of 2017 as early as possible without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, preferably within a period of one year from the date fixed i.e. August, 25, 2025.
CRR/46/2025 is accordingly disposed of.
