The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of electric connection on 14.11.2022 but the authorities have rejected the application on the ground that "required documents not submitted."

It is found from the record that, it is a specific contention of the petitioner that the petitioner is in occupation of the Government revenue land bearing survey No. 1/P measuring an area of 1.00 hectors situated at Mitha Khari village under Ferrargunj Tehsil, South Andaman District and had constructed a house therein and is residing along with the family members. Though the authorities have rejected the application on

the ground that the documents not submitted, but the authorities have not specified as what document is required. Such the ground on which the application was rejected lacks the reason and accordingly the rejection order dated 04.01.2023 is set aside.

2, Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Ferrargunj, South Andaman is directed to provide electric connection in the premises of the petitioner standing on survey No. 1/P measuring an area of 1.00 hectors situated at Mitha Khari village under Ferrargunj Tehsil within four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order on compliance of all requisite formalities.

WPA No. 584 of 2023 is disposed of.
