Mishra ... for the opposite party December 15, 2025 [SR] Item No. 11 The petitioner claims to be in occupation of the government revenue land bearing survey no.12, measuring approximately 2500 sq.mtrs situated at Kalinagar village, Hut Bay, South Andaman District and is residing in the said plot of land after constructing residential dwelling house thereupon. The petitioner claims to have applied for electricity connection. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date respondent authorities have not supplied electricity to the petitioner at the said property.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent authorities submits that the petitioner is having two electricity connection in his own name and, therefore the petitioner is not entitled to any supply of electricity at the premises in question. Faced with such situation, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that supply of electricity at a different premises may be transferred to the premises where the petitioner is at present residing under survey number being 12 at Kalinagar Village, Hut Bay, South Andaman.

On a query of the Court, the learned advocate for the petitioner, in his usual fairness, submits that no application for transfer of the electricity connection from the other property to the present dwelling house has not been made. He prays for liberty to submit an appropriate application in that regard. In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the respective parties, WPA/386/2025 stands disposed of the same by giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application praying for transfer of the electricity connection to the present dwelling house of the petitioner as mentioned herein before.

If such application is filed, the respondent authorities shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
