Khan ...for the Petitioner December 14, 2022 [MAM] Item No.5 This is an application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer for expeditious disposal of the suit. Copy of the petition was served upon the respondent as it appears from the Affidavit-of-service which is filed and taken on record. It is submitted by the learned Advocate on behalf of the petitioner that suit is pending before the learned Family Judge, A & N Islands, Port Blair since 2015 being No.118 of 2015 subsequently renumbered as 104 of 2017.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that on behalf of the petitioner one witness has already been examined and cross-examined and no other evidence will be adduced on behalf of the petitioner. According to Mr. N.A. Khan as submitted that suit is only pending for evidence of OP.

Considering the innocuous prayer advanced on behalf of the petitioner no option is left to this Court but to request the learned Judge, Family Court to dispose of the

suit as expeditiously as possible without giving any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties save and except in special circumstances.

With the aforesaid observation CO No.27 of 2022 stands disposed of.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned Family Court at once for compliance.
