Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for grant of electric connection before the concerned authority on 05.04.2023 but the same was rejected on 06.04.2023. The ground of rejection lacks of reason. Accordingly, the order of rejection is set aside.

The respondent No. 2 is directed to provide electric connection in the residential premises of the petitioner standing on survey No. 89/8 measuring an area of 50 sq. meters situated at Haddo village under Port Blair Tehsil within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order in compliance of all formalities. The petitioner is given liberty to correct the name of village at paragraph No. 3 of the Writ application. WPA No. 638 of 2023 is disposed of.
