Heard learned Advocates for the parties.

In the instant Writ application the Petitioner is 84 years old lady and is aggrieved by the delay of the Respondent authorities in settling and disposing of the RC Case No.295/SETT/CD/2015 which is pending for a period of 9 years.

Learned Advocate for the Petitioner draws attention to different notices and representations made to the authorities.

Upon hearing the learned Advocates this Court is of the view that the case RC No.295/SETT/CD/2015 pending in the Court of Settlement Officer, Revenue Survey,

Andaman & Nicobar Islands should be disposed of and settled very expeditiously without any further delay. Thus this Writ application is disposed of by directing the Respondent no.2 to dispose of RC No.295/SETT/CD/2015 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Considering the age of the Petitioner the learned Advocate for the Respondent authorities is requested to see that the matter is expedited.

As Affidavit-in-Opposition is not called for the allegations are deemed to be not admitted.
