The petitioner has occupied a Government revenue land bearing survey No. 147/P measuring an area of about 50 sq. meter situated at Prem Nagar village under Port Blair Tehsil, South Andaman District. The petitioner has applied for grant of electric connection on 29.03.2023. The respondent authority has rejected the application on 05.04.2023 on the ground that the petitioner has not uploaded judgment passed by the Court in favour of the petitioner.

Considering the order of rejection, this Court finds that the ground of rejection is not sustainable under law. Accordingly, the same is set aside.

The respondent No.3 is directed to provide electric connection in the premises of the petitioner standing on

survey No. 147/P at Prem Nagar village under Port Blair Tehsil within four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order on compliance of all requisite formalities.

WPA No. 647 is disposed of.
