Ms. A.S.Zinu, Learned Counsel, appears for the writ petitioner. The writ petitioner seeks electricity connection in respect of the premises described in the writ petition. The writ petitioner seeks expeditious consideration of her prayer for electricity connection. The details of the Online application submitted by the writ petitioner to the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Port Blair dated 4th July, 2022 are annexed to the writ petition.

The respondents/ the Administration are represented by Mr. Tulsi Lall, Learned Counsel with Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Learned Counsel.

Having heard the parties and considering the materials placed, this Court is of the view that the ends of justice shall

be sub-served in the event the respondent no.3, the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Haddo Site Office, South Andaman District, is directed to consider the application for electricity connection filed by the writ petitioner on 4th July, 2022, being application No.4998, on its own merits within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this Order.

With the above direction, WPA/565/2022 stands disposed of.

Since affidavits are not invited, all allegations to the contrary are deemed to be denied and disputed. Affidavit of service filed in Court be retained with the record.

All parties to act in terms of a copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order be supplied to the Learned Counsel for the respective parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
