The Superintending Engineer and others Mrs. Nazneen ...for the petitioner Mr. Tulsi Lall Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondents April 21, 2023 [Bithika] Item No.11 The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of electric connection in the residential premises standing on survey No. 55/11 measuring an area of 200 sq. meter situated at C-144, Neil Kendra, Shaheed Dweep, Port Blair Tehsil.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the authorities have refused to accept the application and accordingly, the petitioner has sent the application by speed post, even the same was returned to the petitioner. Learned Counsels for the respondents denied the allegations made by the petitioner and submits that the authorities have never refused to accept the application. Considering the submissions made by the respective parties, the Writ application is disposed of by directing the petitioner to apply fresh application before the concerned

authorities and if any application is made by the petitioner, the concerned authority i.e Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Neil Kendra Shall provide the electric connection to the premises of the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of the application after completion of all formalities.
