The petitioner has occupied a Government revenue land bearing survey No.417/P measuring an area of about 125 sq. meter situated at Garacharma village under Port Blair Tehsil, South Andaman District. The petitioner has applied for grant of electric connection on 02.12.2022. The respondent authority has rejected the application on 03.12.2022 on the ground that "the electric connection to encroached land has been stopped. It is only be provided on the basis of issuing directions by the Hon'ble Court in respective judgement in your favour for providing electric connection."

Considering the order of rejection, this Court finds that the ground of rejection is not sustainable under law. Accordingly, the same is set aside.

The respondent No.3 is directed to provide electric connection in the premises of the petitioner standing on survey No. 417/P at Garacharma village under Port Blair Tehsil within four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order on compliance of all requisite formalities.

WPA No. 663 is disposed of.
