Andaman and Nicobar Administration and others Mr. Arul Prasanth ... for the petitioner Mr. Tulsi Lal Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondents April 26, 2023 [AKB] Item No.5 Grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has occupied a government revenue land bearing Survey No. 1/1 (P) measuring an area of 200 Sq. mtrs. situated at Garacharma village, Port Blair Tehsil, South Andaman and had constructed a residential house in the said landed property.

Mr. Arul Prasanth, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for the grant of domestic electric connection in the said dwelling house on 5th July, 2022 but till date the authority have not consider the application submitted by the petitioner. Considering the application made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the materials on the record this Court find no purpose will be served if the writ petition is kept pending. Accordingly WPA/664/2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 3 to consider the application filed by the petitioner and to grant electric connection to the petitioner in the dwelling house within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order after compliance of all formalities.
