Mishra ... for the respondents October 28, 2025 [SR] Item No. 22 The petitioner is aggrieved by non-action on the part of the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram, South Andaman District in disposing of his application dated June 06, 2024 with regard to the prayer for demarcation of the land bearing survey plot no.15/1/P.

The petitioner claims that he is in possession of an area of 0.26 hectares situated at Krishna Nagar Village, Swaraj Dwep, under Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District. The petitioner applied for demarcation of the property, but the said application has not yet been disposed of. Representations have also been made.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District to dispose of the representation of the writ petitioner in accordance with law, by ensuring that the demarcation is made strictly on the basis of the records, documents and maps that may be available or supplied during such inspection and demarcation process.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period three months from the date of communication of this order.
