The Andaman and Nicobar Administration and others Mr. Arul Prasanth ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondent nos.1&2 Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondent no.3 October 29, 2025 [SR] Item No. 5 The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil to conclude the R.C case, which was already initiated and in respect of which notices had been issued. The required demarcation should be conducted. The process of such demarcation was initiated upon the order of the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman project, for construction of a footpath from the village road to G. Muthuraj's house. Allegedly, the petitioner had approached the authority for construction of such footpath.
Needless to mention, when the authorities were satisfied that there should be a footpath for use of the people of the locality, the demarcation process should be completed within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order and in the event it is found that the demarcated portion of the land can be handed over for construction of footpath by the Municipal Council, the land shall be handed over in accordance
with the arrangement made between the Administration and Council.
A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner with regard to the final decision of the authority in this regard.
