Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for grant of electric connection in the dwelling house standing on survey No.1/P measuring an area of 2.5 hectors situated at Monglutan village, under Ferrargunj Tehsil, South Andaman District, but in spite of receipt of the application till date neither the authority granted electric connection nor they have rejected the same.

Considering the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the Writ petition is disposed of by directing the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Ferrargunj Tehsil i.e respondent No.2 to provide the electric connection in the dwelling house of the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order after completion of all formalities.

WPA No. 676 of 2023 is disposed of.
