Mini ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents October 28, 2025 [SR] Item No. 28 The petitioner along with 43 other tenants had purchased a piece of land at survey No.111 at Muslim Basthi under the Ferrargunj Tehsil, South Andaman District. The total land measures 1.2993 hectares.

It is submitted that all the persons applied before the concerned Deputy Commissioner for sub-division of their individual lands in terms of the shares mentioned in the sale deed.

It appears that R.C.

case was initiated by R.C.No.171/GIS/2022/DC(SA) and a notice dated May 09, 2023 was issued to all those persons. It is submitted that all those persons are willing to get the land sub-divided. Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District to conclude the R.C. case upon hearing all the parties with regard to the sub-division of the concerned land and take necessary steps in accordance with law on the basis of the application filed by them.

All the parties shall be heard. The authority shall be at liberty to videograph the entire process. A reasoned decision shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner and all the co-tenants. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made by the petitioner are deemed to be denied.
