Ms. Anjili Nag, Learned Counsel, appears for the writ petitioners. The writ petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the concerned Sub-Registrar, South Andaman District/the sole respondent to this writ petition for failing to take steps to register the Power of Attorney dated 04th of April, 2022 which was submitted via online mode by the writ petitioners.

The petitioners point out that due to such inaction they are facing utter prejudice.

The respondents/Administration are represented by Mr. S.Chakraborty, Learned Counsel with Mr. Ramendu Agarwal, Learned Counsel. Mr. Chakraborty, Learned

Counsel, submits that the cause of action espoused in this writ petition belongs to the domain of the Administration. Having heard the parties and considering the materials placed, this writ petition does not deserve to be detained. Accordingly, a direction is passed on the SubRegistrar, Port Blair Tehsil, South Andaman District to take and communicate the decision on merits on the application submitted via online mode by the writ petitioners for registering the Power of Attorney, not later than within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this Order.

With the above direction, WPA/599/2022 stands disposed of.

All parties to act in terms of a copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order be supplied to the Learned Counsel for the respective parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
