The Deputy Commissioner and another Mr. K.Vijay Kumar .... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents September 27, 2024 [SR] Item No.4 This petition is directed against inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in granting mutation in favour of the petitioner's mother.

It is fairly submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in view of the subsequent events which have transpired since the request for mutation dated 8 February 2024, the original applicant i.e. mother of the petitioner had expired on 3 April 2024. In view of the above, the reliefs sought for in the representation for all practical purposes, has become infructuous.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh representation for mutation in accordance with law. If such proposed application is filed within a period of two weeks from the date of passing of this order, the Appropriate Authority would consider the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks therefrom.

The respondent is represented and does not object to the prayer of the petitioner.

With the above directions, WPA/494/2024 stands disposed of. The allegations made in the application are not admitted since no affidavits have been called for.
