The petitioner is an Event Management Company and entered into a contract dated 30th December, 2021 with the respondents for a sum of Rs.22,49,61,100/-.

Disputes and differences have been arisen between the parties in the contract.

The arbitration clause contained clause (I) of the said contract. The petitioner has invoked the arbitration clause. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits, on instructions, that within a period of one month admitted dues would be paid and time is sought on such ground. 5.

This Court is of the view that the dispute is pending since 2023 and any interim relief may be obtained before the Arbitral Tribunal.

In these circumstances, this Court appoints Justice Prasenjit Mondal, a retired Judge of this Court as an Arbitrator to enter upon the reference and pass appropriate award and other reliefs as permitted under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

With the aforesaid direction, the arbitration petition is disposed of.
