The Executive Engineer Mr. Tapan Kumar Das ... for the petitioner Mr. Shatadru Chakraborty Mr.Ramendu Agarwal ... for the respondents April 26, 2023 [AKB] Item No.2 The petitioner has filed this instant application praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge at Port Blair to dispose of the Other Suit No.2 of 2018 filed by the respondent, Union of India under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. Counsel for the petitioner submits that since the year 2018 the matter is pending before the learned court for disposal and prayed for a direction so that the application filed by the respondent under Section 34 can be disposed of as early as possible. In view of the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner this Court find that no prejudice will cause to any of the parties if a direction is given to the learned Additional District Judge at Port Blair to dispose of the Other Suit No. 2 of 2018 (Union of India vs. M/s K.P.Trading and Company Pvt. Ltd.).

In view of the above learned Additional District Judge at Port Blair is directed to dispose of the Other Suit No.2 of 2018 (Union of India vs. M/s K.P.Trading and Company Pvt. Ltd.) within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of the order without giving any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

CO/22/2023 is disposed of.
