The Union of India and Another Mr. Lokesh Chezian N .... for the petitioner Mr. V.D.Sivabalan ... for the respondents October 4, 2024 [SR] Item No.7 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against nonconsideration of a representation dated 5 September 2024 seeking compensation in terms of the Vivek Rai Committee set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

On behalf of the respondent Administration an opportunity is sought for to consider and dispose of the said representation within a period of twelve weeks from date. In view of the above, WPA/509/2024 stands disposed of by directing the respondent Administration to consider the representation within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and the respondent Administration is at liberty to take an independent decision, in accordance with law. With the above directions, WPA/509/2024 stands disposed of.
