A proceeding under Section 104 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulations, 1966 (case No. : RC.228/TSVP/2025) has been initiated by the respondent/Union and a show cause notice has been issued to the writ petitioner dated 04.04.2025.

However, allegedly since thereafter there has not been any further development made in the said proceeding under Section 104 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulations, 1966.

For that reasons the petitioner has made a written communication addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman on 22.09.2025. The same is yet to be considered and disposed of by the addressee. Hence by filing the instant writ petition, the petitioner has prayed that a time bound direction

may be made upon the addressee, for consideration and disposal of the petitioner's prayer vide letter dated 22.09.2025. Ms. Prem Puspa Bai has represented the Union. Having heard both the learned advocates for the respective parties, it is found proper to dispose of the instant writ petition by directing the respondent No.2/Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2025, by dint of a reasoned order and after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner.

The entire exercise as above should be concluded within a period of eight weeks.

WPA/476/2025 is accordingly allowed and disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, may be supplied to the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
