Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for grant of electric connection in the premises of the petitioner standing in survey No. 10/1, measuring an area of 200 sq. meters at Ramakrishna Pur, Little Andaman Tehsil, South Andaman District. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an application before the concerned authority on 23.02.2023 but the authority has refused to receive the said application and as such the petitioner has filed the present Writ application for a direction upon the authority for grant of electric connection.

Mr. Tulsi Lall, learned Counsel for the respondents denied the allegations made by the petitioner and stated that respondents never refused the said application.

Considering the submission made by the respective parties, WPA No. 704 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent authority particularly respondent No. 3 to accept the application of the petitioner and to provide electric connection in the premises of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order in compliance of all formalities. WPA No. 704 of 2023 is disposed of.
