The Andaman and Nicobar Administration and another Mr. Lokesh Chezian ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondent November 6, 2025 [SR] Item No. 6 The petitioner prays for alternative land on the ground that part of his land was utilized by the Administration for construction of a road. It appears that an application was filed by the petitioner on September 12, 2024 before the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, Port Blair and the same is yet to be considered.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction upon the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, Port Blair to consider the request of the petitioner in terms of the application filed by the petitioner, upon perusal of relevant documents and upon hearing the petitioner. Necessary inspection and demarcation shall be made. An order shall be passed in accordance with law. If the prayer cannot be granted, reasons shall be disclosed and communicated to the petitioner.
