The Regional Passport Officer (RPO) is represented. 2.

The learned counsel for the RPO submits that the communication indicating that the petitioner is not a citizen of India has been erroneously issued.

It is further submitted that upon receipt of the certified copy of the no objection certificate from the Court below, the passport of the petitioner shall be renewed expeditiously. 4.

In those circumstances, the writ petitioner shall produce the no objection certificate from the court below to the passport authority as expeditiously as possible upon receipt thereof. 5.

Let the renewed of passport be issued to the petitioner within a period of one week thereafter.

The communication dated 28.06.2024 issued by the RPO shall therefore stand set aside.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 8.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities. ( Rajasekhar Mantha, J. )
