1. The Affidavit-of-Service as filed today is taken on record.

2. None appears on behalf of the Respondent despite service.

3. The Writ Petitioner is aggrieved with the inaction and/or non-action on the part of the Respondent in respect of his prayer as submitted on September 30, 2024 under the provisions of Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

4. On perusal of Annexure P-4 of the Writ Petition at Page nos.19 and 20 it reveals that the Writ Petitioner has submitted a representation with the Respondent authority to take appropriate action against his son and daughter-in-law as per the provisions of the said Act of 2007.

5. It is alleged that for some reason or other no action has taken as yet by the Respondent authority.

6. In view of such, while disposing the instant Writ Petition, this Court directs the Respondent i.e. the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Diglipur, Diglipur Tehsil, North & Middle Andaman-744202 to consider the representation dated September 30, 2024 as submitted by the Writ Petitioner in accordance with law after serving notice to the Writ Petitioner as well as to his son and daughterin-law and shall pass a reasoned order thereafter after giving due opportunity of hearing to both the sides. The entire exercise is to be completed within six months from the date of communication of this order.

7. With the aforementioned observation, the instant Writ Petition is disposed of.

8. The Respondent is directed to act on the Server Copy of this order.

9. Liberty is given to the learned Advocate for the Writ Petitioner to communicate the Server Copy of this order to the Respondent forthwith.
