Mishra ... for the respondents November 20, 2025 [AKB] Item No.13 This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging inaction by the respondent authority/Electricity Department in giving electric connection to his premises.

Petitioner has stated that he has made application dated 17/06/2025 before the respondent authority which has not been acted upon till date.

Mr. S.C.Mishra, learned advocate appearing for the respondent authority has relied on a report of the Junior Engineer, Electricity Department, Birdline Section dated 18.11.2025, in which the reporting officer has stated about the petitioner not having installed the meter board and earthing as yet. Hence due to non compliance of the required formalities by the occupier of the premises the said respondent has not been able to provide electricity connection at the said premises as reported.

Having perused the record and the report submitted by the respondent authority as mentioned above and considering the submission of the learned advocates of the respective

parties the Court finds it proper to direct the respondent No.3 to grant electricity connection subject to completion of all necessary installation and arrangements by the present petitioner in the concerned premises.

The respondents are directed to provide electricity connection within a period of three days from its satisfaction regarding due installation of meter board and earthing by the petitioner.

With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of. Since the respondents has not been called for using affidavit-in-opposition, all the allegation made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents. The report dated 18.11.2025 relied on by the learned advocate for the respondent is kept with the record.
