This contempt application filed under Section 14 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and Rules framed thereunder, praying for drawing for the proceeding against alleged contemnor for deliberate and willful violation of the order dated 03.04.2024 passed by Coordinate Bench (Bibhas Ranjan De, J.) the then Hon'ble Justice.

In the said order, it was inter alia directed the Panchayat Secretary, Gram Panchayat, Vivekanda Pur, Hut Bay, Little Andaman is to take steps with regard to the issue after hearing both the parties i.e. the petitioner and the private respondents No.2 within four weeks from the date and with the said observation the writ petitioner was disposed of. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnor submits that decision has already been taken and resolution has been passed in favour of the petitioner to the effect that when new panchayat market rooms would be

constructed in future, one such shop may be allowed to Shri. Radha Pada Mondal as per prevailing rules and procedure. On the other hand, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner also concedes that the hearing was done and such order has been passed.

In view of the above facts, this contempt proceeding is hereby dropped.

With the above observation CPAN/61/2025 is disposed of.
