The petitioner in paragraph 2 and 3 claims that his father has encroached and occupied the government revenue land in April, 1993.

He has constructed a residence thereat but does not have electricity. He submits that repeated representations to the respondents for supplying electricity connection to the petitioner have not yielded any results.

It is now well settled that even a trespasser in a property is entitled to electricity and the grant of electricity does not create any title to the property.

In those circumstances, the respondent no.3 is directed to provide electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from date.

The petitioner shall comply with all formalities including pre-deposit within a period of three days from date. 6.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 7.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities. ( Rajasekhar Mantha, J. )
