Ilango ... for the petitioner Mr. Sumit Kumar Karmakar ... for the State November 28, 2025 [AKB] Item No.8 The petitioner who is in custody from August 17, 2025 on the allegation under Section 20 (b) (ii) B/29 of NDPS Act, 1985 has prayed for bail in the instant case.
The Case Diary is produced. The quantum of Cannabis alleged to be possessed by the petitioner is 220 grams, hence amounts to 'small quantity'. Taking that into consideration and also the period of detention of the accused person as well as the fact that investigation has been concluded, his bail prayer is allowed.
Let the petitioner, Aman Halder be released on bail after furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two registered sureties of Rs. 5000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, North and Middle Andaman, Mayabunder.
Let the petitioner be present before the Trial Court on each date of trial without fail.
