The petitioner's application seeking new electricity connection is pending consideration at the end of the electricity department.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner to obtain new electricity connection, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the electricity department to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of thirty days from the date of communication of this order.

The department is directed to communicate the petitioner the fate of the application at the earliest. If it is found that the petitioner will be entitled to obtain new electric connection then, the same shall be provided to the petitioner at the earliest subject to compliance of all statutory formalities. 4.
The writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs. 5.
Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of usual formalities. ( Amrita Sinha, J. )
