... for the petitioner Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondents November 26, 2025 [AKB] Item No. 11 The writ petitioner has filed the instant case being aggrieved with the alleged inaction of the respondent authorities, particularly respondent No.3, who has been allegedly withholding grant of water connection at the premise of the present petitioner, inspite of she having duly applied for the same.

Learned advocate Mr. Lokesh Chezian for the petitioner has taken this Court to the application made by the petitioner as well as present status report which reveals that the proposal of the establishing water connection into concerned premises has been approved and forwarded by department. Allegedly, there is no further development towards providing water connection to the petitioner's premises. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, learned advocate appearing for the respondent authority has contended that department, after being satisfied of due compliance of the statutory provisions regarding grant of water connection by the present petitioner, is duty bound to do the needful.

Having heard both the learned advocates for the respective parties, let this writ petition be disposed of with the direction upon the respondent No.3/Junior Engineer Water Works, PHED, APWD, Prothrapur, to consider the petitioner's application as forwarded for grant of water connection and execute the work, subject to fulfillment of the necessary statutory preconditions by the present petitioner for grant of such connection.

Let the entire work be concluded within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order, subject to the condition as mentioned above.

With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of. Parties to act on the server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
