The petitioner's application seeking new electricity connection is pending consideration before the electricity department. The petitioner prays for consideration of the said application.

Learned advocate representing the department submits, upon instructions, that the petitioner is already enjoying electricity from two separate meters at the same premises. 3.

The department is directed to consider the application and communicate the petitioner the fate of the application at the earliest.

If the department is of the opinion that the new connection can be given to the petitioner then, the same shall be accorded in accordance with law subject to compliance of all statutory formalities.

The fate of the petitioner's application shall be communicated to the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs. 7.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of usual formalities. ( Amrita Sinha, J. )
