Santosh Prajapathi Ms. Babita Das ... for the petitioner Ms. Supreet Sharma ... for the respondent September 27, 2023 [SR] Item No.16 This is an application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction for expeditious disposal of the Other Suit No.42 of 2020 pending before the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Port Blair. The suit has reached the stage of peremptory hearing and in fact the date was fixed on 15the September, 2023. However, the matter could not be taken up on that date as the regular Presiding Officer was on leave having gone at the mainland and the parties appearing before me uniformaly submits that the next date is fixed on 5th December, 2023.

Since the suit has reached to the stage of trial and the next date is fixed in the month of December, 2023, this Court, therefore, expects that the Trial Court shall make endeavour to dispose of the same within six months in accordance with law.

With the above observations and directions, the CO/35/2023 is, thus, disposed of.
