Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen. She complained that the private party respondent no.4 has made some construction on the road side of Ward No.12, Nayagaon at Port Blair, which intimation has been given to the Tehsildar, Port Blair on 03.01.2024.

In spite of such intimation/complaint being made, the Tehsildar has yet to proceed in the matter in terms of Regulation 104 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulation, 1966.

The respondent no.4 is represented in today's proceeding.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.4 submits that the respondent shall enter appearance before the Tehsildar, Port Blair by 17.01.2025.

Since the parties have agreed to pursue the remedy before the Tehsildar, Port Blair, no direction is required to be passed in the present proceedings.

It is expected that the proceedings would be completed by the Tehsildar, Port Blair expeditiously without unnecessary adjournment and undue delay.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
