The petitioners' application seeking water connection is pending for the last three years.

The respondent authorities ought to take steps to immediately provide water connection to the petitioners subject to compliance of necessary formalities and on payment of the statutory charges.

Steps shall be taken by the concerned respondent, APWD to provide tap water connection to the petitioners at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of compliance of statutory formalities and on payment of the necessary charges.

The requirements and the formalities to be complied with by the petitioners shall positively be communicated to them within a fortnight from date.

The writ petition stand disposed of. No order as to cost. 6.
