Pradeep .... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents December 15, 2025 [SR] Item No. 6 The petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated September 01, 2025 praying for mutating his name in respect of the landed property being Survey No.144 measuring an area of 2.1400 hectares situated at Rabindra Nagar, Little Andaman, South Andaman.

The grievance of the petitioner is that no step has been taken by the concerned Tehsildar on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner was asked to apply through OnLine mode. On a query of the Court, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the application was not submitted through OnLine mode.

In view thereof, WPA/606/2025 stands disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to apply for mutation through OnLine mode before the appropriate authority and if such application for mutation is submitted through OnLine mode,

the appropriate authority shall consider such application and dispose of the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of the application for mutation through OnLine mode.

Needless to mention that the decision of the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. Parties to act on the server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
