Mishra ... for the respondents December 16, 2025 [SR] Item No. 3 The petitioner claims to be in occupation of a piece of government revenue land being Survey No.222 measuring area 350 sq.mtrs situated at Bachra Pahad, Chouldari Village, Ferrargunj Tehsil, South Andaman, after constructing a dwelling house thereupon. The petitioner claims to be residing in the said house along with his family members. The petitioner applied for supply of electricity through OnLine mode on August 22, 2025.

The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, the electricity has not been supplied to the petitioner. The learned advocate for the respondent authorities submits that the decision on such application shall be taken within the time frame as may be fixed by the Court.

In the light of the submissions of the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties, WPA/609/2025 stands disposed of by directing the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Chouldari Site Office, Ferrargunj Tehsil, South

Andaman, being the 3rd respondent, to consider the application of the petitioner filed through OnLine mode on August 22, 2025 and to take necessary steps for supply of electricity to the petitioner, if the petitioner is entitled to, as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order. In the event the said respondent is of the view that the supply of electricity cannot be effected to the petitioner, reasons therefor are to be communicated to the petitioner within the aforesaid time frame.
