A legal notice submitted before the Municipal Council on behalf of the petitioner praying for calculating the property tax which is required to be paid for the purpose of sale of a portion of the property at Survey No.168 corresponding to new survey No.1752 measuring about 1800 sq.ft out of total area 3600 sq.ft at Aberdeen is pending consideration.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Revenue Officer, being the respondent no.2 herein, to consider the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, in accordance with law after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner. If the prayer of the petitioner is accepted, necessary consequential steps shall be taken. 4.

There shall be no order as to costs.
